Why I Make Music

My Perspective on Music

True worship is a gratitude response to God’s love and music is one of the ways we express that gratitude to God. Music as an expression of worship is a powerful love language. It is also one of the means by which God (the loving author of music) connect with us, because music and love go together. Music comes from the heart, comes with emotions and stirs the soul. Music is universal and innate to our humanity, that is why anyone in the world can easily connect to music irrespective of race, culture, color, background and faith. This is one reason I am grateful to God for bestowing on me the gift of making music.

My Mission

To fill the earth with the transforming presence and love of Jesus Christ through music; a divine presence that transforms, liberates, illuminates, inspires and changes the lives of those who experience it.

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

My Story

Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. I grew up in a loving home where formal education was emphasized and prioritized. Even though my singing talent was visible at an early age, the prevailing culture did not consider music worthy of becoming a life pursuit.

Through a deep personal conviction, innate zeal and the generous assistance from my local church while growing up (His Purpose Church), I became resilient, bringing my passion for music to life and has since enjoyed a journey of musical growth and accomplishments.

Looking back, I am grateful to God for giving me the resilience to persist and not give up on my music dreams. Worship to me is a gratitude response to God’s love. Worship goes beyond what God can do or has done for us. Worship demands that we ask “What can I do for my Lord?”. Worship is opening our heart, listening to and embracing what He will have us do.

While the genre of my music is patterned after Christian R&B and Jazz, I carefully give my heart to listen to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to produce my melodies.

I strive for excellence. I firmly believe that whatever is worth doing is worth doing well and I have applied this value of excellence to my worship experience with the Lord. “Give your all to Him in worship, don’t do it haphazardly” is what I often say. I endeavour to consistently create time for quality fellowship with the Lord. These moments of intimacy have birthed the songs I have recorded till date and will continue to record by God’s grace. As I pour out my gift in service, I long to hear testimonies of people who have been inspired and transformed by my music to God’s glory.

Growing up, I’ve always being inspired by Ron Kenoly’s music. It was a pleasure to finally share the stage with this towering gospel music icon on September 2013.

My Dreams

My heart desire is to live and die as a faithful ambassador of Jesus Christ; propagating the gospel through anointed music. My eyes are set on a glorious music career, where I manifest as an unrelenting music minister and serve as a powerful tool in the hands of God – touching lives across the globe.

I look forward to the opportunity of sharing the stage and collaborating with the likes of Dunsin Oyekan, Nathaniel Bassey, Maranda Curtis, Kim Burrell, Le’andra Johnson, Benita Jones and Onos Ariyo to mention a few. These are all gospel icons that have blessed and enriched my life in ways beyond measure.
